Client of mine is shooting DVCProHD (720, 24p) material to be included in an AfterEffects project (4800 x 768, 30 fps) for a multiple projector display.

What is the best way to capture this 24p material in Final Cut to be included in a 30 fps AE composition?

Renting a Panasonic AJ-HD1200A to digitize the material into FCP via HD-SDI.

Is it possible to have the deck convert the 24p material to 30(i?) on the fly, or do I convert the material via CinemaTools?

Or – do I just capture and edit the material at 24p, spit out a 24p QT and then drop it into a 30 fps AE file?

    TIA!
