Activity Forums Apple Final Cut Pro Legacy 24p to 29.97?

I have some miscellaneous clips that were digitized 1280×720, 24p. I need to add pull-down to them so that I can play them in a 29.97 timeline along with footage digitized at 29.97. Want to remove the stutter and judder of the 24p footage so that’s is as smooth as the 29.97 footage. And I can’t get access to a deck in time to redigitize.

Is Nattress Standard Conversion plug-in the most recommended route for this Are there other ways of doing this? Can you add pull-down in AE? I know you can *remove* pulldown (I’m at version 6.5) Any other gymnastics to get it done?

I posted a similar question on the Panasonic P2 Cow board, but then thought this might be a more appropriate place to ask.

    Thanks, Larry Marshall

I think you can do that with Natress, though I could never figure out how.

I think you could also just output to tape using a Blackmagic or Kona card from a 23.98 timeline. It will add pulldown to the footage as it outputs at 29.97.
