  24p to 25p conversion

  I’m trying to create a ‘XDCAMHD 50 PAL 25p’ file from a 24p ProRes file using Adobe Media Encoder CS6.
  After the conversion both files have exactly the same runtime which means that the 25p file has about 5500 more frames than the 24p source.

  I assume that Media Encoder is achieving this by duplicating/blending/creating one extra frame per second.
  My expectation was to get an output-file that would have the same number of frames than the source file, thus it would run slightly shorter.

  I checked the ‘XDCAMHD 50 PAL 25p’-encoding preset in Media Encoder, but the ‘frame blending’ option is not checked.

  So why and how exactly is Media Encoder doing this?
  How can I force it to produce a 25p video with the same number of frames than the 24p video?

  My guess would be to use ffmpeg (with ‘-r 25’ and ‘-filter:a atempo=x.xxxx’) to create a intermediate ProRes with the correct frame rate.
  But is there also a way to achieve this using only Media Encoder, maybe with a little help from Premiere/After Effects?
