    more problems with 24p!

i have footage that i shot in 24p advanced mode with the dvx100A.

using final cut 5.1.4, i captured my footage using the easy setup of DV-ntsc-24p (23.98) advanced pulldown.

using that same setup, whenever i drag a clip from the browser into the timeline, have to render it (red bar across the top), i also have to render clips when copying and pasting across sequences.

it’s a process that’s slowed me down and adds annoying render files to my computer.

I’m asking how come the clips (when put in timeline) aren’t readily playable using this selection in the easy setup?

thanks for any advice, i’m hoping it’s something simple but perhaps i’ll learn something new today,

    take care,

    ignacio.

[Ignacio Triana] “I’m asking how come the clips (when put in timeline) aren’t readily playable using this selection in the easy setup?”

Because your clip doesn’t match your sequence settings. You’ll want to compare both of them.

If you selected the easy setup after you created your project, just create a new sequence. When you select a new easy setup, it doesn’t change the settings of already existing sequences, just the ones you create from there on.
