Hi, I’ve just shot and edited a piece shooting at 720P 24fps (really 23.976) Shoot and edit went flawless, outputted as a Quicktime 720P24fps great, same as an MP4 (h.264 codec.)

However I now have to deliver a version that can play on Broadcast T.V. Although I understand the pulldown process to convert 24 to 30 (23.976 to 29.97), I don’t know what settings to use in Final Cut.

I’m on Final Cut 6.05, and have compressor 3. I’m expecting to have to go to a file for delivery, but might also have to deliver a DV tape. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I searched through the list archive, but no luck so far.

    Thanks.

If you have a Kona or similar I/O card or device you can simply play it out in real time. The card will add the pulldown. If it has to be a file, Compressor can do it, although, not as well as the Kona. Be sure to enable Frame Controls in Compressor’s Inspector and choose Best for all quality settings.
