I’m trying to import an omf file from the media drive of an Avid Xpress pro.
The avid project is 24p dv widescreen and I’m assuming 23.98 fps.
I’m awaiting further project settings info from the editor.

Here’s the problem. Seemingly, regardless of my interpret footage settings, when my comp
is set to full resolution, the image portion of the frame appears only at the top
3rd of the frame. The frame itself is full size with black in the bottom 2 3rds
with the squashed image is at the top. However, with comp set at half res,
the image fills the screen just fine.

I’m new at working with this type of footage and Im sure that I’ve missed
something here. Hopefully I don’t need to have the editor render out quicktimes.
Anyone run across this and have the solution?

    Thanks

    Just need to amend this.
With investigation, I’ve learned that the image is half height, not 1/3.
I get one half black frame, and one half squashed image.

    Still stuck as to why.
