Guys, I’m sorry but my head is spinning trying to ferret out 24p truths and interlace wrapping and all of that stuff.

I am trying to pick a camera that will give me a clean 24p transfer to film, 1080p. So far, the Ex-1 looks like an amazing camera. Even though Sony has it’s own 24p process, I’m not sure if it’s a visual replication, or there are discreet progressively recorded frames.

What steps are involved in getting that footage into a 24p timeline? Will it have to be deinterlaced since it’s not 24 true individual frames? Will that result in a resolution loss?

Would this cam even be a good choice for a film out? a majority of the internet posts on subjects such as this are answered by guys that have read other posts or memorized the B&H Photo specs.

Thank you SO musch in advance,
    Mart
