So a client gave me a clip to ingest into FCP that plays at 24 fps in QT but when I import it into FCP it is interpreted as 30.97 fps! I was planning on using Natress Standards converter to go from 24p->NTSC but when I attempt that it ends up making the video longer than the audio due to the frame-rate I would guess…

    any ideas?

    thanks

Open it in Cinema Tools. Conform it to 24. Problem solved.

Cool. But actually you should probably work with 23.98, not 24. My bad.
