    Hello,
I’m having some trouble importing 24p miniDV footage that was shot on a panasonic camera into FCP. Since I don’t have the camera it was originally shot on, I’m trying to import it using a Canon XL-1. Is this possible since the XL-1 doesn’t shoot 24p? I was able to log the clips without a problem. I then had to fiddle with the capture settings a bit and tried a test to see if FCP was importing correctly. One clip was imported using the 24p settings from FCP, another was imported using a 29.97 setting. However, when I looked at each clip in After Effects, it appeared that they both contained interlaced frames!
Another production pipeline issue is that we have additional footage shot at 30p. We need to be able to edit both the 24p and 30p within one FCP sequence. I assume we’d need to add 2:3 to the 24p, and then use a 30p sequence. If so, how should we do so? Or is there a better way of handling this issue?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thankyou very much,
    Jacob
