    Hey guys/girls,

I wasn’t sure what forum to ask this on but though this place was my best shot. I’m shooting a short tomorrow and am not sure whether to shoot in 24p or 25p. I obviously want to shoot 24p for a slightly more cinematic look but am wondering how it turns out when output to a PAL DVD? It is largely for online release but will be sent off to festivals on DVD so I don’t want any loss in quality.

    So what are your opinions?

    Many thanks,

    Patrick Jaeger

For a PAL DVD shoot 25fps. 24, 23.976 & 29.97 frame rates are a world of pain and anguish compared to the utter sanity of staying 25 fps.
