24p footage capture using AJ-HD1400 through firewire

Bummer. I already tried that. Picture turns to static. I’m gonna do a test tonight with something else shot DVCPRO50, but shot at 59.94. I’ll let you know. Thanks again. I know it has something to do with the 24p, I feel it in my gut!

i hate to break it to you, but it doesn’t. It has to do with FCP Express. If you had the full blown version of FCP, you could capture in the DV50 codec. FCP Express only captures to DV or HDV and nothing in between. You need to get that deck to spit out plain ole DV over the firewire and then you will be golden.
