24p Advanced Problem
Posted by Kevin on September 1, 2006 at 9:43 pmI just did a 4 camera shoot and the plan was to have everyone shoot in 24P Advanced.
Problem is… one of the operaters shot in regular 24P. What is the best way to capture the 24P footage and “convert” it to the “advanced”? Or am I out of luck?
Thanks.

September 1, 2006 at 10:06 pmYou’re not out of luck. Read the article at the link below. Towards the bottom of the article there are instructions on how to incorporate 24p normal using Apple’s Cinema Tools (which you should have as part of FC Studio) for use with your 24p advanced project.

September 1, 2006 at 11:03 pmThanks. I read the article and the manual in Cinema Tools and still don’t “get” how to convert it. I don’t see where it actually “exports” the advanced pull down.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

September 2, 2006 at 4:12 amYes, I’ve seen the other posts. I did some searching-believe me. They are vague, at best, on how to solve the problem. I’ve already captured the footage and was hoping to just convert it instead of re-capturing and as I stated, Cinema Tools instructions aren’t clear either. (ken stone’s page refer’s to using Cinema Tools but doesn’t say how to convert).
If anyone can provide some more detailed steps I’d appreciate it. Usually these things are pretty intuitive to me but I’m at a loss on this one.
Thanks,
K
