I’m filming a low budget is fi film very soon. I’ve been lent a jvc 2001e camera.
I no the difference between interlaced and p but I’m unsure of what’s the best frame rate to go with?.

The camera dose 24p 25p and 50p. according to the manual 50p is used for fast motion, so I’m assuming I should use 24p or 25p. what would be the advantage of 24p over 25p?. At the moment the film is going to be on DVD, and I’m assuming it’s going to be on the Internet. I had assumed 24p is for going on to film? As the camera has a gamma setting for “film out put”.
The director has told me he would like it shot in 24p. But I was just wondering what advantage this would have over 25p
I dont no if this makes a diffrence but Im in the uk

Depends on what you are going to do with the film. Obviously for film transfer you would shoot on 24p otherwise you need also an extra transfer, which isn’t inexpensive.
If you are going for TV or DVD you’ll shoot on 25p. For internet it doesn’t matter. If you want to use it for transfer and TV, it’s better to shoot on 24p.
Film output refers to coloring, contrast etc, not to framerate.
