I am finishing a 23.976fps widescreen 24:00 min project in PremierePro and the real timing is not correct. This is an animation created from digital cameras and the frames are encoded to uncompressed Quicktime before they are placed on the timeline.
The show is exactly 24 min on the timeline however, when I print it to tape it comes out to 24:01:14. So it is 1 sec 14 frames long. The tape is pre-stripped with DF TC and I am inserting the program on the tape.
Can anyone explain this problem? Is it caused because the software is printing at NDF or what?
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks

It sounds like it is 24 minutes long using 24 frames per minute.

The difference between 24 and 23.976 is 0.024 (frames per second) and multiplied by 60 is 1.44 frames. Times 24 seconds, it comes to a total of 34.56 frames more than what it would at 23.976, which is one second and 10+ frames. So perhaps your project is 24 and not 23.976?

Thanks for the reply Steven. This sounds logical to me. I am going to create a new project with video for windows 24fps settings and import this project.
    Hopefully this will work.
