24fps NTSC request confusion
Hi,
I have a UK made (PAL?) ProRes 422 HQ 1080p 24FPS 5.1 audio mov film, which has had some interest from Korea.
I’ve received this specification sheet from them, which has confused me – they’ve asked for 24fps NTSC, which is not how I understood it worked!!
Is what I have what they’re after do you think? Or is the NTSC part an indication that they want it at 23.97fps? If that’s the case, how do I turn my 90gb ProRes 422 HQ mov (plus audio) into the new frame rate? Can it be done in compressor 3.5?

ignore that NTSC.

ask them about that.

copy the file,
open it in Cinema Tools, and Conform it to the new frame rate. It’s instantaneous.
the audio will be pitched slightly. maybe not enough to worry about.but you might not have to do that. Talk to them.

Note…pitch in audio isn’t the only change…but the timing is too. The program will be a tad shorter…1 frame per second shorter…than the original.

They’ve been particularly bad at getting back to us, and slow at everything else, so I’ll make a 23.97fps version too and cover both eventualities!
Is there a way to convert all my additional audio to 23.97fps as well as the movie? I have M&E audio and separate mono 5.1s to convert too.
