Hello- I’m trying to make HD animations from JPEG photo sequences and hope to upgrade (someday)to an HD-capable Xpress Pro, but that’s not possible right now.

Meanwhile, I’m at not even at the rough edit stage, but I do want an easy way to catalog and screen my footage. I am working with just Xpro v4.6, where I bring my sequential files into a 29.97 Project at DV25. (so everything is playing a bit too fast)

In After Effects, my animations generally look good at 12 FPS, which is how I look at “rushes” after rendering a 24FPS Comp as an Uncompressed avi, then Squeezing to .wmv format.

Xpress Pro v4.6 has the “Fit to Fill” TimeWarp Effect which interacts with single-roller trim mode and changes %Speed based on the length of the imported clip it’s placed on. Can anyone tell me if there is an approximate % to trim my clips to in order to achieve a 50% slowdown AS IF that slowdown were based on 24 FPS rather than the avid-imported 29.97?

    Thanks!
