If your source material was a 24fps image sequence and the associated audio was off a DAT with a known timecode what would be the quickest way to import the media and sync the audio? Can you create a Log file for image sequences that contains the associated Audio TC and a log file for the audio; batch import/digitize the images and audio, then autosync based on Audio TC? Would it be better to sync the audio and image seq in Quicktime pro and convert them to 24 fps quicktimes with audio to then import into AVID? Is this even possible?

Thanks in advance to any suggestions or advice.

You can log a common sync point between the picture and sound using an AuxTC column, select all the clips, then use AutoSync. This would be easier in Avid than in QuickTime Pro.
