    Hi All

i feel such a fool. i’ve just captured the varicam at prores 422 1080p24 and i’m having sync issues. does the kona LHE convert the signal so it can show on my broadcast monitor? or have i no hope because the monitor and the time line will always be out of sync due to the 25-24 frame issue between the computer screen and a CRT monitor.
do the HD CRT Monitors show 24p or do i have to get an LCD monitor or the like?

    am i making any sense.

    Thanks again for you help

I don’t know much about PAL. But in NTSC-land, The Kona’s SDI can output 23.98psf (which is a 48i signal) or, the Kona can output 29.97 by adding 3:2 pulldown in real-time.

Go to FCP System Settings and set the pulldown pattern to one of the 24@25 modes in the Playback Control tab. Use a simple PAL based output setting from the video card.
