    Hi,

We have an issue with material shot at 24 fps on a memory card and arrived at the editing rooms in .MOV format, the camera & reporter are out of the country.

material ingested into AVID Media Composer via file – import, to a 25 FPS project, and edited in said project.
we have to output in the end to Beta SP in 25i PAL. when we tried to output the sequence to tape it of course flickers (one field is duplicated every 12 frames) and makes the show unwatchable. any suggestions? what to do? this is of course extremely urgent as the show airs in two days, it’s not extremely long and recreating it would be a pain and a loss of precious time & money.

    would appreciate any insights.

In MC3 you haven’t really got much choice as there are no motion adapters. Typing ignoreQTRate True into your console and then reimporting the footage will basically speed the footage up very slightly so it becomes 25fps without a duped frame, but you may find that the footage then loses sync with any audio.
