So I have an exported sequence of tiff frames that I brought into AE. The frames are all full frames from a 24 fps movie. The sequence is 490 frames. My project settings are 24 fps working in frames instead of timecode. My comp settings are 24fps. Why does my sequence show up as almost 100 frames shorter now in AE???? When I keep the projects settings the same and change the comp settings to 30 fps, then my sequence is the correct length. What is going on in AE?

It looks like a footage with a wrong interpretation. In the footage window, chose the secuence, right click, interpret footage. And put there the fps it’s supposed to have.

Yep, AE assumes 30 fps for still sequences. Reinterpret the sequence and all will be well.
