23.98 vs. 24 fps – the final mix
A client just had a final sound mix finished out. They placed the assets on their Final Cut timeline, and it drifts out of sync within five mins.
Apparently they selected 24fps in the mix, while the project is actually 23.98. Somehow no problems showed up when they put the 23.98 photo jpeg reels into their 24fps ProTools project.
I’m inclined to have them re-output the mix at 23.98. But am I missing something?

Try this first.
Delete the audio out of your project.
Then in FCP, choose the appropriate 23.98 easy setup.
Quit FCP.
Reopen the current project.
Import the audio again.
Relay in to the sequence.
In Sync?

And, actually, I was initially misinformed: the sound mix was done at 29.97.

My fcp timeline is at 23.98, now for dubbing audio, and music my musician is asked for 24 frame rate video. so i rendered this video at 24 fps and then they given me audio file which is 24 fps. now the problame is audio is not syncking properly.
What should i do now. to sync it exactly.

You should have just given them the 23.98 movie. It’s still 24 tc.
How did you make the 24 movie?
