    Hello

I am new in here. i looked around for my problem but didn’t find any solution so for.

my problem is i got 23.97 edited timeline in premiere pro cc 2015 which is little bit disturbing as the real footage is shot in 24fps. what i did is changed the sequence setting to 24 fps and playback also to 24 fps

is it the right way to do it or do i have to go some other way around ?

ps note my client has already done with dubbing and background music at 24fps.

will this process create any stretching or files error for post work.

please reply i am on tight schedule.

    thanks
    Kamal

That should work, I think. It’s the same number of frames either way, just that the timeline plays them slightly slower in 23.968 version. Obviously test it with a copy of the final mix (although, if you put the 24 frame audio into the 23.968 timeline, Premiere will change it up accordingly and it will play fine.)

Thank You David for your reply..

I tested everything even the final audio mix matched correctly…

i am concerned about post process will it create any problem if i send the XML/edl files to color artist.

might be a useless question but this is my first situation where i got this kind of project.

    Regards

If when you converted to 24 frames there were no unwanted frames, then the xml should be fine.
