I have two 23″ aluminum ACD monitors nearing 3 years in age, and in the past couple of months they’ve grown a horrible ghosting that develops in as little as 5 seconds with high contrast graphics, and it sticks around about a half minute or more. Has anyone experienced this with the 23″ ACDs? It became noticeable right around the time that I upgraded to Leopard, so I wonder if it’s related to a graphics driver issue or something. I’ve always had the monitors set to go blank after a few minutes of no activity, and they’re in an office with very strong A/C.

Try them on another machine, I find it odd that it is happening to both at the same time, so I am betting it is ether a driver issue or a bad graphics card.

When you went to leopard did you erase and instal or run it as an upgrade?

We have more than 12 23″ Apple displays in our shop ranging in age from the very first 23″ to a couple that are 2 months old. They are hooked to Intels, G5s, and two G4s. They all look good.
