  -2048 error in quicktime/FCP

  Has anyone figured out how to salvage media in quicktime files that can’t be opened due to -2048 error. FCP 5 also won’t open the file. This is after downloading all apple FCP et al downloads onto a G5 this week.

  Any ideas????
