    I have 2 videos, A cam and B cam

I put them on the timelines and try to switch between them but I can not get Vegas6 to do it.

They will switch but when I replay the video, it shows a single track.

    Any help would be appreciated.

When you say “they will switch”, how are you doing this?

    There are several ways …

You can use a composite envelope on the top track to reduce its opacity to nil when you want the lower track to show through.

You can Split the top event and delete the parts where you want the lower track to show through.

You can split both tracks and move the sections you want to retain up to a new track.

    OR

You can automate the whole process by using Excalibur or Ultimatte S, making it extremely easy and fast.

You might want to take a look at the “Multi-cam” video at https://www.jetdv.com/excalibur which will show an easy way to do this. You can also look at Vol 1 #9 of my newsletters which shows multiple ways to do multi-cam. There are several multi-cam scripts available – Excalibur is the oldest (three years now!) and is now at version 5.
