  • 2 Stupid Questions after a Reinstall

Had to reinstall SV after Windows crashed and I can’t figure out two simple questions.

    1. When I had two media clips side by side and I deleted the one on the left, everything shifted over to where the first clip used to be. After the reinstall, nothing moves now. How to I change that setting?

    2. I accidentially clicked on the “X” for the window in the upper left that displayed all the media I have available for this project. How do I get that window back?

I’m sure these are simple questions, but I’m stumped. Thanks.

    1. Enable Auto Ripple. The online Help menu gives you several options depending on what you want to ripple.

    Applying a post-edit ripples automatically

Select the Auto Ripple button (or press Ctrl+L).

Click the down arrow next to the Auto Ripple button and choose a ripple type.

    Affected Tracks
Ripples only the tracks where you performed the edit.

Affected Tracks, Bus Tracks, Markers, and Regions
Ripples events, keyframes, and envelopes on tracks where you performed the edit. This command also ripples the following:

    Markers
    Regions
    CD track and index markers
    Command markers
Keyframes and envelopes on audio or video bus tracks

    All Tracks, Markers, and Regions
Ripples events, keyframes, and envelopes on all tracks in your project. This command also ripples the following:

    Markers
    Regions
    CD track and index markers
    Command markers
Keyframes and envelopes on audio or video bus tracks

    2. View – Project Media. Alt+5 is the keyboard shortcut.
