Hi guys. I’m working on a slideshow and I’m running into a couple of problems I need some help with.

    1. I have 3 .jpgs, 1 is the background throughout the whole video and the other two are pictures I’m including in the slideshow. I want to place them on the left & right sides of the screen in the upper 2/3s of the frame. When I use Event Pan/Crop to move them around to their respective positions, one of them starts to slide in behind the background track. It’s like there’s a slit in the background image for the picture to just slide and disappear into. What is this? How is it happening? More importantly, how do I make it STOP?!?!?!

    2. I usually work with 2 monitors. There are times though when I have to work with 1. I have 2 Window Layouts set up though, 1 for a single monitor and the other for dual monitors. It works real well except when I switch to the single monitor setting. In that view I have the tracks set up at the bottom and the Vegas Pro Dock set at the top of the screen. When I click on a track though, the Pro Dock minimizes. If I press Play or any navigation button down in the track area, the track area maximizes and the Pro Dock with the Video Preview is moved behind it. I have to use Alt4 and the Space bar to view the preview screen and play the video so I’m able to view it. I know this is probably just a setting I’m missing but it’s driving me buggy!!!

    Thanks for the help guys,

    Mike

Question 1 seems like you’ve got a keyframe at the end or somewhere downstream if it’s a slow movement on what should be a static trak.

Question 2; Set up the screen the way you want and save it as a layout in the View menu.

Thanks DSE, I finally have an update to issue #2 that was driving me nuts. What I discovered is a switch in the Preferences window, under the Display tab. It says “Automatically hide docking area”. When I un-check it and then click in the track area my Video Preview stays visible. Of course I did have to re-save my Single Monitor layout again. I KNEW it had to be a setting someplace. Thanks!
