[drazen Stader] “Only on the third try my mission was accomplished…I now have two identical 2408 monitor that completely match each other the way they should of have been matched since the day I bought them.”

    Yep!!! As I suspected…

Glad to help and happy it all worked out.

I have the same issue with 2 dell 2408WFP Rev 01, additional to the colors being different, there is an issue with the way they display black text. There is a red edge or red halo effect around the text in both monitors? Did you notice it in any of the new units you got?

    Hi,

no red edge whatsoever in my case…regarding the monitors I suggest you to follow David advice coz i did the same…insist until you get a matching pair…it is well worth it…

I have two monitors Dell 2408.
I have planned the preset color on custom and I have reduced the red and the green to 95 leaving the blue one to 100.
Seem me to have resolved the problem,
even if the white between the two monitors is not identical, one tends to yellow.

I did several tests and I must say that if you use bar color monitors are almost identical.
Differences known whether the use Final Cut Studio, because the GUI is gray.
On a gray screen tends to yellow, the other not.
I reduced the green and red up to 95 and I have partially resolved even if a slight difference yet.
In the past I had two Apple Cinema Display, and two Samsung monitors and using as background images in Apple white and black was always the same problem, despite having two displays are identical, as revised and month of production.
    Thank you.

So here I’m a couple of years after this post, and I face the same problem with two Dell U2410s.
One with reddish and the other with blue green tint.
I had already a replacement, from red to even worse red. Now, I’m fighting to get another replacement.
They are not very co operative. My Q: are they obliged to replace it?

    Greetings,
