    Hi
Got to do double workload today. Wonder if I have one Vegas 5 open and rendering an AVI and bring up another V5 and capture video. Could it be done safely? Computer’s powerfull enough. Wouldn’t think the 2 inatances of Vegas should conflict with each other, as I have 2 or 3 open all the time.

    Anyone done this before?
    Thanks
    Allen

I’d rather use two computers – one for capturing and one for rendering. I guess it depends on how hard the rendering is hitting the hard drive and CPU.

    Thanks Ed
I’ll just do the capturing first now. Don’t need the rendered project till at least tonight. Need to capture 3 hours of tech stuff I did last week.

Can always render the dance stuff while I’m working on the tech stuff then.

    Thanks

I’m guessing that you can do it if you set the number of render threads to 1.

Oops, you can only do that with Vegas 6.

    Hi
Thought you’d like to know it worked fine. Think I got a 3.2gHz with Hyperthreading.

Didn’t do it for a long time though as I just worked on the second timeline most of the time.

    Thanks
    Allen
