2 Gig RAM limit in XPpro?
Does anyone know how to get XP to allow AE to use more than 2 gigs of RAM? The help file for AE directed me to a Microsoft link but the information wasn’t there.
Any pointers/links would be great. Thanks!

Search for 3G Switch. You have to make a change in the BIOS. I’ve had limited success with this, the BIOS change doesn’t always do the trick.

I messed around with my Windows boot.ini file and got After Effects to recognize 3 gigs of ram on my new machine. I did this by adding the “/3 GB siwtch” to my boot.ini file. Check out this thread or just google “/3GB”:
