2 Frame Pause on Insert
We’re getting a 2 frame pause when insert editing both SD and HD with both FCP and the Black Magic Deck Control. When I had single field out when paused both fields were freezed, with it off you see both fields, but it still hangs for two frames. In addition we have a frame drift on assembly as well. Sometimes it hits right on, sometimes it is two frames late, some times a frame early. Adjusting the playback offset doesn’t help. We’re running 10.4.5, FCP 5.0.4, and the latest BM drivers. Anyone else noticed this and/or have a solution?

Hi,
Every deck will have a different offset when doing an insert or assemble to tape. You’ll need to configure Final Cut Pro’s offset values. Please refer to this Apple Knowledge Base Article for more information:

Even though it refers to Panasonic decks, the section on “Duplicate frames at the In point” may be useful.
