Hello guys, quick question about different audio rates in timeline. Used L&T to import dslr footage from Canon plugin. Audio rate is 48KHz. Brought in a song from garage band to itunes and created an aif then to fcp. Audio rate is 44.1. Out of the 15 or so clips from dslr I am only using the audio from 2 in conjunction with my background audio from itunes. The first clip plays fine, the second one gives me a short beep upon the playhead reaching it, but only a single beep. I’m assuming it is because of the different rates?? Am i correct and what are my options? Thanks, John

Convert the song to 48k in QT Pro, Compressor, iTunes or Garage Band.

You can also do an item level render in FCP, which accomplishes the same thing, but can come unrendered sometimes.

The beep will be because the track needs rendering at that point. Convert your 44.1kHz source to 48kHz and the problems won’t arise.
