    Hello

trying to get 4 analog audio outputs from FCP

have a Kona LH and an Edirol UA25 connected which gives me the hardware

however, there seems only 1 output device at a time assignable in FCP

anyone know how to get tracks 1 & 2 out of the kona and 3 & 4 out of the Edirol?

suspect no – but worth a try!!

    thanks

    r

    Hi
OS X allows different audio I/O devices to be combined – in the Audio MIDI Setup utility, create an aggregate device driver (in Audio MIDI Setup>File>Open Aggregate Device Editor).

But as I understand it the Kona card’s driver probably doesn’t report itself to OS X as a core audio device.

Aja does make converters to convert the the 8 channel sdi embedded audio back to analog from your Kona LH but it may not be cheap. (in other words it may be just as cheap to buy a used aja i/o or pci card with 4 channel out on ebay as what a converter costs)

“everything is broken” ……1st. coined by Esther Philips I believe.
