July 19, 2007 at 5:03 pmWorking on a projetc where it’s a take off on “Dragnet”. We’ve created a “newspaper” with the headlines we need.Looked in the spin effect, doesn’t do what we need. Any help is greatly appreciated

July 19, 2007 at 5:31 pmI’ve just used the rotation tools in the motion tab for this, works pretty well, add a little scale up and some motion blur, and you’re set. About 4 rotations in a half second should do it. You might want to add the MB later, as it is a major render hog.

July 19, 2007 at 6:24 pmI’d toss it into motion. Especially if you were planning to have the newspaper spin and grow at the same time. In FCP you can’t get the Scale and other properties to ease together (ie it’ll be done growing but still be spinning slightly). In motion it’s easy.
