I’ve got a dvd that will be used in a video production I am putting together. It was shot in 16:9 and my shoot has been in 4:3 and will be mastered as 4:3.
How do I unsqueeze the 16:9 to fit the 4:3. Thx

There are two ways to handle this.

#1 is to put up with the black bars on the top and bottom of the 16:9 clips.
You could put some kind of out-of-focus/blurred pattern on a lower track to cover up the black bars.
This techniques is done daily in the broadcast world and viewers are accustomed to it.

#2 is to open up the Pan/Crop window on each 16:9 clip after it’s on the timeline, right-click and select “Match Output Aspect”.
The trade-off with #2 is that a portion of the left and right sides get cropped off.

    The decision is yours.
