Activity Forums Apple Final Cut Pro Legacy 16 X 9 Project

I’m working on a project that was shot 16 X 9 on DVC Pro 50. Captured and editing using the anamorphic settings in FCP 4.5. The problem is when I’m exporting a Quicktime for a graphic artist to work with in After Effects. Does anyone know what settings I should be using. Quicktime seems to always think of the footage as being standard pixels and displays it as 4X3. Also, the graphic artist is unsure what setting to use for the composition when he imports my footage. What I want is something that will display properly on a plasma screen monitor.

Does anyone have experience going this route with 16X9 that could shed some light on the proper settings.

    Thanks

It’s still 16:9. It only “displays” 4:3 Anamorphic. If you artist takes in to AE then interprets the footage as 16:9 all will be well.

    Try this:

When setting up the qt settings change the size to 720 x 405

    See if that works
