16 bit sgi
hello all
I have generated computer graphic animation for maya software and want to export that animation into 16bit sgi format from fcp how do i go with this.

I think that you can export only 8b per channel SGI from FC. If you want something in 16b per channel you need to export a QT movie with MICROCOSM and this must to be via QT Conversion, so not very recomendable.
The best thing you can get from FC is a QT movie exporting with Sheer. 444{4} RGB/YCrCb 10b per channel.
BTW, there is a free 16b per channel and with Alpha, without compression (NONE) from MICROCOSM. You can download it from the Digital Anarchy web-site. Big files, but plays really smooth with QT player,
