  15th Zurich Film Festival calls for entries!

  Submission for the 15th Zurich Film Festival is open from February 15 to June 30, 2019.
  The 15th Zurich Film Festival will take place from September 26 to October 6, 2019.
  Films can be submitted via the platform Withoutabox.

  COMPETITION INTERNATIONAL FEATURE FILM

  The Golden Eye endowed with a CHF 25’000 cash prize will be awarded in each of the two categories International Feature Film Competition and International Documentary Film Competition by two separate juries. The cash endowment is to be shared equally between director and producer of winning films in all three categories. Winning films with Swiss distribution further profit from P&A contribution for a theatrical release in Switzerland.

  Submissions to the competition must fulfill the following criteria:
  • Director’s 1st, 2nd or 3rd feature-length film (> 60 min)
  • Projects completed after October 1, 2018
  • Minimum status requirement: Swiss Premiere at ZFF

  COMPETITION INTERNATIONAL DOCUMENTARY FILM

  COMPETITION FOCUS SWITZERLAND, GERMANY, AUSTRIA

  The Golden Eye endowed with a CHF 20’000 cash prize will be awarded in the competition category “Focus” by a separate jury. The cash endowment is to be shared equally between director and producer of winning films in all three categories. Winning films with Swiss distribution further profit from P&A contribution for a theatrical release in Switzerland.

  Submissions to the competition must fulfill the following criteria:
  • Director’s 1st, 2nd or 3rd feature-length film (> 60 min)
  • Projects completed after October 1, 2018
  • Minimum status requirement: Swiss Premiere at ZFF
  • Switzerland, Germany or Austria has to be main production country

  COMPETITION INTERNATIONAL SERIES

  The International Series Competition is endowed with a 10’000 CHF cash prize.

  Series of all genres are eligible for the competition as long as they comprise the following criteria:
  • a minimum of four episodes at 40-60 minutes per episode
  • Projects completed after October 1, 2018
  • Minimum status requirement: Swiss Premiere at ZFF

  OUT OF COMPETITION

  Documentary and fiction films can be submitted to the following sections:
  • Gala Premieres
  • Special Screenings
  • New World View
  • Border Lines
  • Window to the World
  • ZFF for Kids

  Submissions to the Out of Competition sections must fulfill the following criteria:
  • Films must be at least 60 minutes long
  • Projects completed after October 1, 2018
  • Minimum status requirement: Swiss Premiere at ZFF

  Submission fee
  -Early Bird – From February 15th to March 31: 50 Euro
  -Regular – From April 1 until June 30: 75 Euro
