I am stuck with a misbehaving PPro 1.5 project. It’s on an rt.x10 system. I”ve spoken to one local powere PRemiere user who recommends I upgrade to 2.0 due to it’s reputation for more stablility. I welcome opinions (and anyeon who can point to a reasonably priced immediately available source.) (Of coures with a matrox 1.5 project I have limited upgrade options – Id’ galdly at this point get CSwhatever and a brand new computer, but that won’t work.)

The biggest obstacle now is rendering from the timeline, which many segments will no longer do, though in earlier states of the project they would. (This obstructs the work-around of creating submasters.) But crashes are routine.

(I have tried every solution suggestd on this forum – reducing project size by elminating clips and sequences, using XML wrench to analyze and correct the file, I have bought a replacement computer and installed card and project in that, I work atching the PF size and attempt to keep it minimized.

There is nothing on the machine besdies XPPro SP2 adn PPro. I’ts now a Del Deminsion 8400 with 3 GB of ram (p4 @ 3.0 Ghz.)

I have attempted to recatpure some clips in case the media or code is corrupt, horrendously time-consuming and complex on a large project, but I am told that’s unlikely to be the source of my problems since many problme segemnts have played and rendered fine through the life of the project.)
