I just received a bunch of footage from a videographer. Not sure yet whether this is RAW footage but it is at 15fps using Sorenson 3 codec and crap quality to boot (Soft, pixelated ….)

I need to use all of this footage on a 29.97 timeline and blend it with excellent sharp pro footage. When I play back this footage as is, it is choppy and has a strobing effect to it.

Its there anyway I can save this footage and use with software such as twixtor or cinema tools or should I insist that the client reshoot?

I’m still new at the editing game so any advice is appreciate.

Chances are they can send you a better file… what format was actually shot? It’s not what they sent you for sure…

I’m not sure yet what format it was shot in.
I’m trying to get that information.
Thanks so much for your thoughts.
    Cheers,
