I’m trying to make a multiclip, but the two cameras had different image sizes. One is 1440×1080 and the other is 1920×1080.

Can somebody be so kind as to give me specific instructions on how to make the 1440×1080 footage 1920×1080 via Compressor? (I’m sort of a Compressor newbie.)

    Thanks!

Incidentally, here are all the details:

The 1440×1080 footage was originally shot with a Canon HV30 camera in 24p mode. Because of how this old camera handles 24p mode, I had to follow the instructions listed here from Apple: https://support.apple.com/kb/ht2410 So, now I have footage that is 1440×1080, 23.98fps, Apple ProRes422, with the “Pixel Aspect” of “HD (1440×1080)”.

The other footage I shot was from a Canon 60D. I transferred it into FCP via the Canon plug-in. So, now I have footage that is 1920×1080, 23.98fps, Apple ProRes422, with the “Pixel Aspect” of “square”.

Now, I need to get the 1440 footage to be 1920. Thanks!

Use the ProRes 422 preset in Apple/QuickTime

In the Geometry Pane of the Inspector, under Dimensions Select 1920 x 1080, then for Pixel Aspect select Square.

    Thanks, John!

Now I feel stupid! Ha ha. I really need to learn Compressor better. Thanks again!
