1440 to 1920 – Workflow Question
I’ve got some 1440×1080 ProRes 422 footage that I need to turn into 1920×1080. Can someone offer a workflow suggestion to do this? (I don’t know Compressor all that well, but can do some basic stuff with it.)
BACKGROUND DETAILS:
I’ve shot some 24p footage with an Canon HV30 and would like to match it to some 24p footage shot with a Canon 60D. In fact, both cameras were shooting at the same time. So, I’d like to eventually make a multi-clip out of the footage. But, the HV30 is 1440×1080 and the 60D is 1920×1080.
I’ve used the Apple instructions ( https://support.apple.com/kb/ht2410 ) to reverse telecine the HV30 footage and create ProRes 422 footage.
I’ve used the Canon FCP plug-in to turn the 60D footage into ProRes 422 footage.
I’m using Final Cut Studio 3.
[Thanks in advance for everyone’s help! Still a newbie, but am trying hard!]
