  12V power consumption when dimmed

  I use an NRG varalux and a 12V Lowel Rifa.

  How much efficiency does a dimmed bulb lose? If a 50W bulb would run an hour from a given source, how long would a 100W bulb dimmed to 50W last?

  Does it depend on the efficiency of the dimmer, or the type of battery?
