January 31, 2008 at 8:46 amI guess the only change is the new Aja driver that now correctly supports 23.976 framerates. There were big warnings in the 12.1.1 release notes which are missing now.

Any caveats, pointers or advice before I update from v.12.0.2 to v.12.1.2?
Thanks for your time and insights as always,

You guys beat me to the announcement. 12.1.2 is the full release of the Hardware version of Media 100. This version supports Leopard and Tiger. There is also a corresponding version of Media 100 Producer and Producer Suite. We released this Producer version only to keep the version numbers the same. If you have 12.1.1 installed and you are running Leopard you should update. There is also no harm in updating from other versions either. The main fix for this release is the 23.98 frame rates are now supported. There was an outstanding bug that we needed consulting from AJA on to fix.
