    1200a rewind issues in FCP?

    Anyone have problems with extremely slow rewinding when using FCP and 1200A thru firewire? I have changed all the internals, still no change. My rewind speed is 50x, my search speeed is 8.1…yet this deck is taking 15 minutes to rewind a tape! Second time I’ve had this problem, I can’t be the only one.

    only when the deck is also simultaneously connected to a 422 serial connection.
