Cutting DVCPRO HD 720p 23.98 footage… wanna go back out to panasonic 1200a deck. Will the 23.98 be recorded at 60fps on the 1200a deck? I can go either firewire or SDI… which one is preferable?

Will I be able to pull down the footage back to 23.98 if I ingest via firewire again back into FCP? Or will it now be captured as 59.94 fps on the panasonic tape?

You can change deck settings to record 23.98, and if ever given the option to go firewire or SDI always always always go SDI.

If you capture again via firewire you will have to capture 59.94, sorry. But you won’t have that problem if you capture via SDI.

    Hope that helps!

What deck settings need to be change so the new tape will be able to be digitized over SDI at 23.98?

    Thanks,
