  -12 dbor -20db for Sennheiser wireless?

  I hope this is the right forum to post this message in, please excuse me if I got it wrong.

  I’m not too smart with audio – Have a question.

  I have a Sony DSR-450 Camera and just bought a Sennheiser evolution G2 wireless mic for it.

  On the part that goes on the camera, the receiver, what should I set my output levels to? -12? -20? Or something else?

  I have set the camera to record to tape at -12db using the camera mic, the default was -18db. Now I plugged the wireless mic into channel 1 and selected ‘line’ and not too sure where to set the receiver’s output db levels.
