mostly I work with 8bit monitoring, and I’m fine up to 12-14nodes.
But sometimes I would need 10bit, but I get no real-time playback even without any node. What am I missing?

    System:
    Macpro 4,1, 2×2.26Ghz
    8GB RAM
    GTX285

    thankyou

What GPU do u have for the UI?
Is your monitor plugged into that GPU?
Can u confirm u have the 285 in slot 1 and the UI GPU in slot 2?
Which slot is your DeckLink card?

A bit offtopic: Peter, thanks for writing, firstly I want to thank you for the posts on bmcuser! I can’t wait for the CinemaCamera+Resolve duo:)

    Back to the topic:
Stock Nvidia GT 120 for the GUI
Yes, monitor is plugged in the GT120, nothing is plugged in the GTX285
Yes, GTX285 is in slot one (if the mac pro stands, it’s the lowest slot), and the GT120 is in slot two.

Decklink is in slot 4. Should I put it in slot 3? (Slot 3 is empty)

    Additional notes:
I have the built-in scopes turned on.
I don’t have the Decklink Extreme, but the Decklink SDI

    Thanks!

What model MacPro do you have? The 3,1 2008 model does not work well with 10 bit monitoring. If you have this model, that’s probably the issue.

Hi, how is the performance with the scopes turned off.

    I did some tests:
without any scope I get real-time playback with 10bit enabled.
As soon as I turn on any scope, it starts to loose real-time playback, but interestingly only at clip changes. If I play a 1 minute long shot (thats one shot in Davinci) it isn’t realtime at the beginning, but from there it is RT.

Anyway, maybe you just got an Ultrascope buyer:)
