I have a project that is shot 1080p25. I edited it in Sony Vegas Pro 10 in a template for 1080p25. When rendered 1080p25 using the Sony AVC option with the “Internet 1920×1080-25p” template, it looks great.

Now I want to have it burned as a Blu-ray BUT not lose quality or interlace. I read that 1080p25 can be “wrapped in a 1080i25 container” essentially keeping the progressive video. I also read:
“Although Blu-ray technically doesn’t allow 1080p video at these framerates, it does allow 1080i. Thanks to some advanced features which allow partially and entirely progressive frames in an interlaced video stream, x264 can encode this type of video progressively while still maintaining Blu-ray compatibility.”

Can this be done in Sony Vegas and how? What would be the work-flow?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated,
    Val Todorov
