    Hi everyone,

I am revisiting a family documentary that last worked on a year ago. I have done most of the work in 720p. I also have reshot alot of the interviews in it to 1080p because I had had more questions to ask. Now I am thinking of rediting the film in 1080p since most of the interviews are in 1080p. The problem is that I have some inteviews shot in 720p that I need to use and they have some noise in them and I am worried that even if I denoise the picture it will look bad if not worst in 1080p. Yet I want this documentary to be really good. Any suggestions? Also if I edit the project in 720 p and then upconvert to 1080 p is that going to look good. Like I said I am working on a project that I want to look really good and be great picture quality wise. I think that I just don’t understand the 1080p versus 720 thing 100 percent. I want the highest resoultion and I have uncles that I have to please. This project needs to last the span of time.

    Thanks,

    Wildmangoose

I’d just finish the project at 720P. That way you don’t need to worry about the noise in that footage looking worse by scaling it to 1080.

    🙂
